I have done both: two decades in ingest, quality control and archive, and in the last seven of those years the PowerShell, C# and .NET tools that automated the team's work. The combination matters because most of the difficulty in media software is not the code. It is knowing what a file actually contains, what the person handling it needs from it, and where the existing tools quietly fall short. I bring that knowledge and the engineering to act on it.
